Hello, I've found a niche which gets a decent amount of searches each month and no-ones in it. I'm going to make a site about it soon and after that what should I do?

Sumbit site to search engines?
Backlinks?
SEO?
bold text of the keyword?

HELP PLEASE! Thanks.

Link building will drive your website on top but opt for high dofollow links from high page rank websites. Instead getting it from low pagerank websites.

I can't believe people still use LC. It's worthless for the user, and only brings profit to the creator. Don't focus too much on back links. They barely count in today's serps. Focus on content, social promotion and keyword specific web 2.0's.

With that kind of advice, I can see why you barely have a hundred referrals. A site needs BOTH no follow links and dofollow links. Same goes for PR. You need a mix of low PR links and a few high PR ones.

And no, link building will not drive you to the top. It just helps a bit if you need an extra push up a few spots, but it's not what will get you to #1.

OK I'm taking note of what everyone is saying and should I purchase a domain with the keyword in it OR should I use a free domain? BTW DarkSaber, you've been getting refs for quite a long time but when was it exactly that the refs were rolling in?

Thanks.
