My Dell XPS M1530 has just broken after 5 years. Anyone know of a laptop suggestion around £600 - £1000?

Please don't say Apple Macbook Air/Pro or Alienware. I am aware of them and have decided that I am looking for something else.

I play casual gaming (not very hardcorde but need a fast and good laptop). I also browse the internet but I need something capable for playing "Counterstrike: Global Offensive"

Thank you and ANY suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks!

I'm drooling over the Samsung RF-711 at the moment, it's just over 700 last I checked, and here's the specs:

Operating System
Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium (64b)

Display
17.3" LED HD+ (1600 x 900) 16:9 Gloss LCD Display

Memory
6GB (DDR3 / 4GB x 1 + 2GB x 1 ) System Memory
2 x Slot SODIMM Memory slot

Main Chipset
Intel HM65 Chipset

Processor
Intel® Core™ i7 Processor 2630 QM (2.00Hz, 6MB)

Graphic
NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M (Optimus) Graphics Processor
1GB gDDR3 (External Graphic Memory)

Storage
1TB (5400rpm S-ATA / 500GB x 2) Hard Drive (HDD)
BluRay (S-ATA)

Multimedia
HD (High Definition) Audio
SRS Premium Sound Effect
Mic Noise Suppression
Cyberlink Power DVD
3 Watts Stereo Speaker (1.5 Watts x 2)

I've actually seen a tech demo of them working and it flies! You can upgrade for full 3D graphics support with a 2GB dedicated graphics RAM, it'd run most of the newer games at full spec easy as pie!

Thanks a lot for the reply lacrimosaangel although I didn't really want a 17"+ screen size. Although it is a very nice laptop so I will re-think about whether or not I want a screen bigger than 17".

Thanks
