Customizing your profile
In this article...
Show Off Your Rewards
Your Points2Shop user profile includes a section where you can show off Rewards, Cash Withdraws, and Cause Donations that you have redeemed. This is a great way to provide further proof that your items actually came from Points2Shop, just link up your profile page! Also, since the new profiles have a bold green button allowing a visitor to sign up as your referrer, it is a great destination to show prospective referrals.
How Do I Add Rewards That I Redeemed To My Profile?
Simply go to your orders by hovering over the Account or Spend Points tab in the menu and selecting "Status Of Orders" and click view order. You will then see the details of your order and a blue button under each item which says "Show In Profile", simply click and you're done. You can also remove items from your profile using the same method but you will see a remove button instead.
Can I Add Products That I Ordered With A Manual Order?
Sadly, due to the way manual orders are submitted and processed, these items do not appear in your order history.
How Do I Add Cash Withdraws I've Made To My Profile?
Simply navigate to the "Spend Points" tab in the menu and select "Requested Withdrawals" Here you will find your cash out history. Like Rewards, you will need to add each individual withdraw to show on your profile. Click 'Show In Profile' for the withdrawal to be added to your profile.
Add Profile Picture To Your Profile
Your Points2Shop user profile allows you to display an avatar - a photo of yourself, your cat, or anything really - to add some flair to your profile. Take some time to check your friends' photos, some are quite amusing!
To add a profile photo, visit the Site Preferences page (Under the Account tab in the menu). Click "Choose File" to find a photo on your computer, then click "Submit" to add it to your profile. Be sure to wait while the photo is uploaded to Points2Shop.
Caution: All images should be family friendly and not include any content deemed unfit for minors.
The background of my photo is black!
If you upload a transparent .gif or .png image, the background will be black instead of blending in with the page. To fix that, open a photo editing program like Paint or Photoshop and save your image as a .jpg. This may be fixed some day but the admins have said it might take awhile.
If you don't have a program to do this, just upload the image to Coolutils Image Converter and click Convert to JPG.
Add A Personal Message On Your Profile
Your Points2Shop user profile allows you to write a greeting message to display at the top of your profile. You might want to say why you joined, tell others what you think about Points2Shop, just talk about yourself or simply get creative.
To create your profile message, visit the Site Preferences page (Under the Account tab or simply click your profile picture) and simply fill in the "Personal Description In Profile" box. You will see a live preview of changes below so you can make sure its perfect. Once you're happy simply click "Submit" to save the changes.
Writing A Good Greeting
If you are familiar with web publishing, you probably know that well-written content with good keywords can bring search visitors to your web site. You can use these principles to write content and display your Amazon Rewards such that people searching for a specific product may find your profile and your bold green "Sign Up under this referrer" button.
Hide Sections From Your Profile
Based on your preferred preferences, you can pick and choose some of the sections and information that appears on your Points2shop profile. Whether you want to hide your recent offers completed or merits count to throw off your competitors in individual or team competitions, you're in control.
Start by going to Site Preferences in the Account menu. To see your options, look under the Privacy section. Choose between hiding your overall stats, merits, offers, earnings, or even your demographics. While sections you choose to hide may not appear for others, you will still be able to see your own stats when viewing your profile.
