I grew up watching four hours of wrestling on the weekends: NWA Pro Wrestling at 9am, WWF Superstars at 11am (saturdays). Then WWF Spotlight at 11am and WWF Wrestling Challenge at 4pm (sundays) the following day. It is no longer the same. Not just because I'm older. But all the storylines, the blurring of reality and fiction...the element of mystery is gone. It's too bad. As for games, I'm one of the few that loved the GameCube games like Day of Reckoning. Most people hated those. But I'll play Royal Rumble and Raw on Sega Genesis before these newer ones. Just don't do it for me. |

I grew up watching it. Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Macho Man, George the Animal, Brutus the Barber, Piper etc. Then I quit watching it for years until my friends got me into watching ECW and the "Monday night wars" between WWF and WCW. It got a little stale after Vince bought up WCW and ECW. I still hate what he did with ECW, his version was terrible. I still have a bunch of stuff I bought or got as a gift though. I have a WCW poster from 1989 Starcade (I think) that was signed by most of the people pictured on it, Sting, Rick Flair, Doom and I can't remember the others. I have the Stone Cold, Undertaker and Mankind comic books and some are signed by them or the writer or are special editions sealed with certificates. I have 3-4 car collections from WCW that has all the wrestlers on the cars. I got the book Amy Dumas (Lita) wrote and was signed by her, I had to pick between her and Trish Stratus because they were both in my area at the same time signing their books. I could only get one and since I had a thing for Lita back then I chose her I don't watch it as much now though. I still turn it on sometimes or catch a rerun on Saturdays. |
