I heard that you could buy and old domain that is no longer used but still gets traffic. 3 questions. 1) Is it worth it ? 2) Do you just get clicks and not refs ? 3) can i change the name of the domain ? If anyone could answer that would be just great

It's best to get a new domain like exar.com exar.net exar.org exar.cz.cc exar.co.cc There are plenty the thing is the host you want a good host |

1) Probably as long as you can get traffic to your site 2) I don't know 3) You should be able to change the name as you don't want someone elses random site name. |

Oh and another thing you only get the domain exar.com you don't get the contents so changing the domain is just basically get a whole new one Unless the site is selling the whole thing |

If it's an old domain and it still gets traffic you could do a simple re-direct to one of/your current site. A decent domain that expires will cost a fair bit though. |

Ok thanks very much everyone for all the info. It is very useful. More questions: 1) How much would a domain like that cost ? I was told they are very cheap. To be honest I wouldn't really mind paying for a domain properly but its mainly the traffic I'm after, because I dont seem to be doing to well. So far 14 refs (which i dont think is bad for 1st month ref hunting) but my last 4 have not completed registration or done 1st offer. 2) Is my website descriptive enough ? www.points4nothing.com I managed to get google page 1 rank 3 if you search Microsoft points for nothing (I know i messed up with the site name) but i do get some traffic mainly from UK) I just feel I am not convincing people enough to stay online. any tips ? GAMER TIP ! Do NOT put your website in your profile of XBOX Live or PSN lol. you will be banned like me. Just got that today but its only for 24hrs but thats my 1st warning from them and they are being nice just now.
