I hope that you can still get this despite the date of the forum. I have noticed that in the shoutbox, members are treated as guilty, before the can prove their innocence. Usually by high ranking members, but they are not alone. Recently, I had an experience where some members instantly assumed that I was a "trouble maker" in a shoutbox dispute. It took a lot of posts back and forth to clear up my name, but I fear that I may have ruined some relationships in the long run. I think that mods in the shoutbox and the people participating in conversations should not assume the worst and act with threatening bans until they know the entire story. Most times, I notice members jumping in at the middle of conversations, which happened in my case, and start to post threatening bans to members if they don't stop the conversation. The irony is that most times, these conversations are normal and not "offensive or rude" at all. I am well aware of the rules, but I feel that some members take them to seriously. I personally feel like P2S members are seen as guilty before they can prove their innocence. It would be great if this can be conveyed to the people who run P2S, with all respect. Some changes would be awesome, and it would be nice to have conversations without the fear of being banned on ludicrous opinions of conversations. Thanks! |
