Cons for the 360: Expensive as hell (you pay for online and basically everything) Pros for the PS3: Pretty decent exclusives, free online, Blue Ray, lots of memory space (as opposed to the 360), you get a good deal for what you pay for. Cons for the PS3: Smaller community, controller is awkward for certain games, Trophy system is terrible, not really good for party games, bulky (the slim seems okay though), and it is very hard to program (this is only if you're making a game for the PS3).

How is the 360 a better party system than the PS3? Also, I want to add: Cons for the 360: over 60% failure (still going on today, especially UK), old DVD technology, no blu-tooth, can't output true 1080p HD, no 7.1 surround support, maxed out capabilities, only limited to MS products for HDD upgrade, opening disc-tray (old-school, unlike Wii and PS3), exclusives are getting few (most are turning muliti-plat.), and must use AA batteries for controller. I can see why it was able release a year before the PS3 and Wii. Every con in that list I put up, is what the PS3 is able to counter. It's all fact, no opinions.

If you enjoy playing by yourself, get ps3. If you enjoy online multiplayer, get a 360.
