I would recommend Star Ocean The last hope. I haven't tried anything else by Tri-ace yet but I heard that their other rpgs are pretty good.
I would also recommend The Tales Of games, they are pure artwork and very good imo.

If you like action-RPG's, my favorites are Dragon Age: Origins and Lord of the Rings: War in the North. If you prefer JRPG's, Eternal Sonata is surprisingly nice.

Just Fallout 3 from that series, and most likely just Skyrim from Elder Scrolls. Oblivion is good, but Skyrim is 100% better in every way. I loved Fallout 3 and probably invested close to 100 hours in that game, but in my opinion Skyrim is a hundred times better. I didn't mention those games because they don't come to mind when I hear the term "RPG", but I guess that's what they are. It really just depends what type(s) of RPG's you're into.

woo! I'm glad you mentioned Eternal Sonata, it's got to be one of my fave games on ps3!
It's a shame that blue dragon was xbox360 exclusive, I'd love to play that on ps3, would look amazing in blu-ray definition :D
