Are you familiar with the folk tale Stone Soup? There are many versions of the story, but the basic outline is this:

A poor man comes to a village and is hungry. But no one wants to feed him. So in the middle of the town, he starts a fire, puts a large pot over it, and fills the pot with stones and water. The curious people gather around to see what the man is doing.



He says out loud, “This will be the best stone soup, if I only had a few carrots.”

A villager says that she has a few and gives them to the man to put in the pot.

The man then says, “ Oh this soup is looking delicious. If only I had some celery, it would be perfect.”

Another villager runs into his house to grab celery and put it in the pot.

The story continues on for many pages, as each villager begins to share what they have. In the end, there is a big pot of stone soup.

You need to start somewhere. Whether you decide to sign up with Info Barrel and write articles, or another site where you can write and earn, you need to begin. Once you have mastered a site, you can then move on to another one and another one until you have built your own online stream of income.
