In a nutshell, the transit of Venus is when Venus passes between the Sun and Earth, making it visible to us. This event only happens twice a century, and the last time was in 2004, so if you miss it, you wont ever see it again.  It starts at around 6:10 EDT, and a simple Google search will give you more info on it and when you can see it. Its a true once in a lifetime experience! |
