So I just finished reading The Shining by Stephen King, and it was a really good book in my opinion. Maybe its the best one I've read, but I don't read to often, so maybe I should read more before I say that. Anyways, what are the best books you guys have read? Hopefully you read a lot and I would appreciate recommendations. *Edit* sorry for posting twice. slow computer

Oh I LOVE that book. Stephen King is a genius! I think the best book I ever read was called Plausible Denial. It was written about the Kennedy assassination and it's full of pure fact about trial and leading events to the Presidents death. It's practically the lives and interrogations of everyone involved. I can't remember the authors name but he is a lawyer who was involved first hand in accusations and the whole she-bang. It's all law and cold-hard facts. Fantastic! At the end of the book I bought there was a signing page for a petition which if there were enough signatures, it would release all Top Secret files from the CIA. Signed it and sent it in! Really want to know the truth! ~~~ No one is above the law, not even the President ~~~ |

Odd fiction is the best description, imagine magic and mafia and criminal underworlds with hit men who have lived for hundreds of years all hunting for a museum curator who specializes in a giant squid, which has magically disappeared. |
