Ever since the beginning of 2012 many people have reported a check sent from Argos Securities INC. with a check ranging from 2,000-3,000 dollars. The letter provided with the check states that you have won some sort of lottery, and that this check is for you to cash, in order to pay the fee's to have your lottery winning delivered. Obviously when you get the money, and send the "fee" to the "agent" (guy sitting at home laughing at you) you will end up owing your bank tons of money. Because the checks look so real, most banks don't realize it's a fraud for a very long time. I received one of these letters today that's why I'm telling you now, if you get one, RIP IT UP.

A link to a complaint about the checks, they have already been reported.

Hardly a new scam. These things are in circulation everyday, just with diferent names and addresses, but the game's the same, and the money all goes to the usual suspects. It's just a shame the mail carriers can not identify and intercept the scam mail and fraud letters and refuse to deliver them, and cut their method of ensnaring potentials victims to shreds, but alas... the law.

Thanks for the heads up. That reminds me that there was this Jamaican lady that called my house, and said "I AM CALLING IN REFERENCE TO YOUR WIN OF 1.4 MILLION, A FREE DODGE RAM, AND A FREE HOUSE". Therefore, she asked for us to send her $400 through Western Union, which I know how the scam works, so I wouldn't. So we hung up, and she kept calling back.

After 2 more times of calling, we answered and put the phone down on the table so we cant hear them. Of course, my grand mother has to go listen to the lady, and when she was listing to the Jamaican lady, she heard her say "IF YOU DO NOT RESPOND, I WILL PERSONALLY COME TO YOUR HOUSE AND SHOOT YOU". Like I would, my grandma got scared and went into a panic.

RIGHT THEN AND THERE, I THOUGHT... THIS LADY IS ON SOMETHING!!! Who would even go that far? Even if it was a scam. Who agrees thats a bit TOO far?

P.S., if you get this call, DONT send the person what they are asking for. You will NEVER receive your millions!
