Lately I've been noticing advertising and random spam in my notification bar, and I did some research and found out it's what they call AirPush advertising. What it does is send you ads in your notification bar so they are sure people see them as opposed to in-app ads. If you know which downloaded item is causing this, great! Just uninstall it. But when you don't, you might freak out. I know I did So with my research I discovered this app called AirPush detector. What does it do? It "scans" your phone to find which app or downloaded item is behind these ads, shows you them in a nice list from where you can uninstall it easy and say goodbye to these ads Worked for me and my friend who was having the same problem (was some Live Wallpapers) Direct link to market : https://market.android.com/details?id=com.brosmike.airpushdetector Hope this helps if anybody ever runs into this issue
