The winnings is in cash however, and the reward is split between the team with the leader of the team getting a slightly bigger cut. Look through the Compete forum for more information on teams and merits.

To view the merit quests and your progress towards them, go to the Compete tab and click Quests . Each quest shows how many merits are rewarded for completing the quest. You just work towards them and once you reach the amount, merits will be added to your account once the system updates the merit quest.
