The Stop Online Piracy Act Bill

What it's about: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stop_Online_Piracy_Act

Short video that explains it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHgWsIdplzc

Longer version that goes into details: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JhwuXNv8fJM

Will Points2Shop/Cashle be affected?
Yes! All copyright materials will be removed/blocked and any person that is caught SHARING or UPLOADING (posting a link to video, music or anything that's similar is consider sharing) can be consider a felon

"The bill would make unauthorized streaming of copyrighted content a felony"
Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stop_Online_Piracy_Act

"It is an amendment to US Code Title 18 Section 2319, that would make unauthorized streaming of copyrighted material for the purpose of "commercial advantage or personal financial gain", a felony." Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_S.978

A prime example would be a video advertising Points2Shop/Cashle. If it contains a song, image, or anything that is redeem a copyrighted material, it will be removed/blocked and the person that can be sentenced up to 5 years in jail

This doesn't only affect the U.S., it also affects everyone that is outside of the U.S., such as Canada, UK and so on(Watch the longer version of the video which explains how people outside of the U.S. will be affected)

Why isn't this on the news?
Because "The news in bed or directly tied to those who want this bill to pass. They won't say anything for fear of their jobs or they are being paid cash not to talk about it."

For those that still don't understand it
They are turning our Internet into "China Internet" (censorship), but please, read more about it to have a better understanding

SAVE THE INTERNET - GREAT PROGRESS!

In days, over 1 million of us worldwide signed a petition opposing a scandalous bill that would give the US government the right to shut down any website -- targeting sites like WikiLeaks, YouTube, even Avaaz!
President Obama’s team responded, and Avaaz organized a 1 hour meeting with top White House officials to deliver the petition.LexarP2S

Senate Cloture Vote on PROTECT IP (PIPA) scheduled for January 24th, 2012.

SOPA markup postponed
