Hi I'm new here. I don't know if this is the correct place to ask this but picked the best I could. Anyway I know that in offers you should give out your email address and you can use a spam address. But sometimes you are asked for your real street address right? Are they going to send me anything? Are they going to use the address I'm giving them? -Thanks in advance |

i've always used my real address since we aren't allowed to use a fake one
and have only received one thing from them in the mail before and it was because the offer was to send me a small card.. i just threw it away when it got here

I always use my real address, incase there are any come backs, one of points2shop rules is that fraudulant activity may get you banned. I haven't recieved much through the post apart from about 5 sim cards from offers that I have signed for, Which nowdays you can sell on to your mates anyway. My advise, best to be honest mate... Lots of websites ask for your address, however they will never send any spam to your address because it is far too expensive. It should be fine to give out your real address. |

best to say the truth, since you can get banned.. HOWEVER you are risking your ID literally being given out to suspicious sites. think of it... they know your name, your address, your phone ( typical offers ask for all these ) sometimes they'll ask for your zip, ssn, email.. I think to just skip some of those offers... in my opinion its bad. |

They only ever send you what you ask for in the offer, i once won a £500 cheque, i couldn't believe it at 1st when they asked to confirm my details before they sent it i nearly didn't coz i thought it may just be spam but since they didnt want any bank details and just my address i sent the letter back then a week later i had a cheque through my door

Thanks a lot guys! My general rule now is that if they ask me any info that is unnecessary like ssn or bank details, I'm skipping it. I think address isn't so bad, but I still check out the positives and negatives of giving it to a certain site. |
