My vote had to go to "Sometimes". Honestly I only reply in that section of the forum occasionally, and especially if I notice the thread title mentioned in the Shoutbox in the form of a question. Usually I'm looking through other forums and don't really touch that section as often. Really a nice topic to point something like this out.
I remember when I was new (can you imagine over two years ago?), members were very welcoming and a lot of replies were made to new members in topics. I do agree that probably most of the introduction topics are made because it's on their to-do list when they join the site, so they're not the most enthusiastic posts made. I'd be for taking that off the to-do list. Anyway, I'll be sure to put some more effort into the introductions from time to time.
