A few months ago I babysat my dad's cat and as a result my animals have fleas. My vet gave me advantage for my cats and I adopted a dog a week and a half ago who was also treated with advantage by the shelter. I am still finding fleas on my dog, not sure about the cats since they won't let me look long enough. According to the info on advantage its immediate. Any one else ever use it and what was your experience? |

Not only should you apply a topical treatment like avantage ( i would suggest frontline plus) but you will also need to eliminte the fleas from the rest of your house. only about 10% of the fleas stay on your animal and they lay eggs on your carpet and bedding. Then within a few weeks the fleas become adults and the life cycle continues. You will want use some kind of spray to kill the fleas not on your pets. For other tips i found petflearemoval.com and they offer tips like placing a flea collar inside your sweeper so any fleas they you vacuum up want excape the sweeper. |
