It is the responsibility of the referrer to ensure that their refs actually READ and FOLLOW the rules.

If you fail to do this then why should you still get to profit from them? If you did your due diligence as a referrer and ensured that only responsible people sign up for the site and adhere to the terms and conditions that we were ALL required to agree to when creating an account, your refs wouldn't be banned in the first time.

And as for "researching" the advertisers? Not only do you have no right to contact an advertiser investigating the procedures and protocols of another company, but it is illegal to request the information when you are neither affiliated nor a member of said company. Also, the advertisers are NOT allowed, under legal restriction - to give you that information whether or not it is requested. So sorry, I don't believe that for a millisecond.

If the member who was banned is found to have committed an act of fraud, By LAW p2s has to return that money as solicited funds are not permitted to be held in full, or part by any company under us jurisdiction.

Oh and while we're on the subject - p2s has their "hands in your pockets"?!

Remember that the next time you request a cash out via paypal or alertpay - WHO do you think pay the fees on the transactions? That 10% that you have to pay when sending people money via paypal? That comes direct out of Mat and Lie's own pockets - THEY pay the paypal fees without taking any of it out of what you have earned here.

Now imagine that you withdraw $150, p2s pay $15 to give that money to you. Then your refs get banned for committing fraud as YOU didn't ensure they follow the rules... not only would p2s have to pay back the advertisers for the illegitimate monetary gain, but they can't claim a percentage of that back as they have already given it to you.

Now factor in the extra 10% that they paid to make the transfer to you in the first place.. they'll only end up losing money.

If a ref is banned, you lose the money they earned you. Its that simple. You KNEW this before you even started referring so there is no reason to sit and complain later.

Quoted by littlerose on a similar topic in the past:

I will try to explain this:

When we give away offer and referral earnings for offers that were done recently we do not get the money/payments from the advertisers right away. We always receive the money 2 months after the offer is done. That is also the moment that the advertiser filters out all cheaters. They do not want to pay for that.

We could have chosen to hold all offer earnings and referral earnings for 2 months until we get paid from the advertiser. However, because we realize that 2 months is a long time for most members we decided to pay for the offers AND referral earnings right away, 2 months in advance. We realize that some offers get denied and that some referrals might cheat. We therefor have to take away a part of the earnings again. We will never take away more then the referral earned you but only the exact same amount that we gave you in advance.

Most of the people that get banned permanently violated our rules of multiple accounts or proxyuse. Those rules are rules from the advertiser. If an offer is completed twice by the same ip/person or household they will not pay for this offer after the 2 months. The same counts for the use of a proxy on offers.

People who would rather have us hold the referral money for 2 full months and after that only pay out the money we really got from the advertiser can choose to do the following: You can set this amount apart on your own account for 2 months and see how much of it is left at the end of the month. Then you can use and keep that money. That way, the people that do want to use the money right away can also do that.
Holding the money for 2 full months just to make sure we don't pay anything that will get reversed later will disappoint 95% of our user that do like to use the money we pay in advance right away.

Lacrimosa, I sincerely hope most of that was not directed towards me, I was just asking a simple question.

Very interesting!

When I did do alittle admin work, I did notice when a ref is banned for a simple reason the money is taken from the banned account as well as all the earnings that ref earned you. It's placed on hold until that ref can prove their account status (meaning get their account back in good standing~settle all account issues) and at that time the money is return to that member and the person that ref them. Now if that member is banned for good and there is no return in sight, then the money is returned to the advertiser :)

and for the comment about "cashle having their hands in our pockets"

Cashle make sure you put in a extra $100 or so cause my pockets are light lol
