I'm a big Battlefield fan and I've refrained from purchasing Battlefield 3. Eh, I'll probably buy it used cheap. Modern Warfare 3? Meh. I stopped caring after the 4th one. This is what, the 8th installment? VERY few titles get there without degradation in material (Ex. Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior) and I've been seeing it for a while. Unless it has a good and original story like Half-Life and great multiplayer gameplay like Battlefield, I'll probably not even waste my time renting it.

If that's the case I may not even bother with it. Shooters have begun to decline, well, mainstream shooters. I still go back to Half-Life every now and then. Might as well just wait for Skyrim.
