The spam warning

Every time I arrive at the end of a page in the forum I see the spam warning. Big catchy yellow box sitting right there. In my eyes its almost a threat. I would post more often but I always reconsider once I come across that. It seems to come in two variants. The one thats default to keep spam away, and the one reminding the user that its an old thread. If it isnt clear to you now maybe this will help. I would like to post and be more active in the forums, but those messages keep me from doing so. I think a good idea is once a member reaches gold or silver status that those messages stop appearing. If its an old topic, have a small reminder of how old the topic really is. If you dont realize, I dont like threats, expecally coming from this site. |

Honestly I don't like seeing the warning so large either, but if you're finding it intimidating to rethink of what you're posting then it sounds like it's getting the job done. I tell you though, no matter what honor level someone is they still most of the time do not look at the date to see how old a topic is before they post on it. So many topics I go through, I lock because of someone bumping two year old topics. |

Its not that big of a deal that you making it seem... on this one is to tell ppl not to spam the message forums like this tould you like 100 posts of gibberish on here? and the other one is telling ppl not to post in old forums...whats the point of posting in old forum posts? the old for a reason...I think its fine the way it is... |

I don't mind the box, but I could do without it.... I think the NO SPAM rule is clearly understood in ANY forum. So if you spam, you get warned, continuous spam, your banned. simple. i even belive we have a topic on not to spam SOMEWHERE on one of these topic, maybe rules or something, just read that and your good. The only reason I dislike it is because it makes me have to scroll even farther down the page to post

i noticed old forums that are labelled old but have comments or posts that r a day or two days old and they say new post on it |
