This is one topic I don't understand on how it could be talked about so much. After studying what the Mayans did, they never actually claimed that the world will end in 2012. Like Evertw said, they just stopped continuing from there. That's it. They didn't write in their language proclaiming the end of the world or something. Just because they stopped there, doesn't mean it's the end.
