Hi I am currently saving up money to buy a horse and I have a few picked out to look at. I've heard before that mares can be sort of temperamental sometimes. I was just wondering if this was true, or if there were any mares that were an exception to this. Thanks

ive had mares, studs, and gueldings. yes they can be a little tempermental, but just like women, (including myself) lol its usually around that time of the month. with that being said, some of the best horses ive ever had have been mares. ive been a trainer, a barrel racer, and a team roper for 15+ years and if the horse that i found that i liked and clicked with was a mare, i wouldnt think twice about buying it. |

Thanks for the reassurance. I almost didn't look at any mares because of them being so temperamental. I guess you just have to find a nice one.
