once a member is permanently removed from the site, does everyone get refunded the points that they donated to his/her cause? (assuming they didnt withdraw the donations)

lol no but there are banned members that have causes and i think the users should get the points back, or should be transferred to the red cross cause or something

If a member is banned i believe the donations will be given do another cause that is very similar (or sometimes even same) as the closed cause.

helmsuzanne is correct, fortunately we don't have to permanent ban a whole lot of active members so I hope it won't happen too often :p

This is not the appropriate post to add this comment, you should've just made a new topic, try not to bump any old ones :p

To answer your question, support tickets are replied to in about 4-5 days (if you check the average waiting time right now) and I'm sure you would of gotten a reply if its been that long so i'm assuming you were given one prior to the weekend. Admin do not work weekends so tickets are not usually responded to. Your ticket will be responded to probably mid-week so be patient while you wait.
