I learned that when I tried to delete my account over the phone. You can return them before you open them if you want to opt out, if not then you're stuck paying full price eventually.

They must have been suckered in like everybody else back in the 70s and 80s with the Columbia House Records Club. I had no idea it was still operating, except now with DVDs. Get stuck in one of those clubs and you'd be better off just re-mortgaging the house.

I later learned that when my mom was my age, she fell for the same scam and I got laughed at lol.
