Hey guys, my friend that is leaving to a new company, is asked to pay, £5592 to leave the company, and this is really pissing off, because he has given 10 years to that company, so I was thinking, is it legal to ask him so much money, just because he is leaving, and he has 10 years, wth, it is so irratating, give 10 years to a company and this is what u get?

So he wants to leave a company (a) to go to company (b) . Company (a) is charging him 5.5 K to leave?
Check the Agreement, if it says that companyA can do it then they can. But if it says nothing about it then they are not obligated to charge him
