United Way Donation for Tornado Relief in Alabama

DESCRIPTION

On April 25-28, 2011, NOAA estimated that 305 tornadoes broke out in Alabama and the surrounding states, the worst being an EF-5 stretching over a mile wide and traveling 132 miles, destroying everything in its path. With still a number of people missing, over 360 people lost their lives in these tornadoes and thousands left homeless. Also, there was an estimated $5 billion worth of damage including power and water being knocked out for many severe areas.

By donating to this cause, you will help pay for relief supplies that will go to families affected by these devastating tornadoes. United Way supplies volunteers and supports the American Red Cross and Salvation Army to be on the front line of the tornado relief effort.

I live in Alabama near the severely damaged areas and have friends that their homes were completely demolished and everything they owned is nowhere to be found. I personally know how bad it is in Alabama right now and please ask you to help support this cause.

I think scientists have to begin to understand nature to help find a way to stop those tornadoes.
